Nationally, statistics show that pupils from certain groups, such as those eligible for free school meals, attain less well than their peers. The aim of Pupil Premium funding is to try to close that attainment gap. We are required to publish how much Pupil Premium money we receive and how we have chosen to spend that money. It is important that we meet the needs of all pupils and we aim to use this funding to support pupils who may be vulnerable to under-achievement. Pupils are supported in achieving their potential through targeted academic intervention, suitable nurturing support, appropriate resources and creative, engaging curriculum opportunities.
