Year 2 – Elm
I hope you are all ok?
I hope your children are finding the teaching pack manageable...I put a lot of resources in there so the children could pick and choose the activity they would like to complete.
Please don't worry if you can't complete all the activities this was just to get you started.
Our Science topic is living things and their habitats so you could go on a bug hunt in your garden and see what microhabitats you can find. Remember to leave the minibeasts homes as you find them!
You can also have a go at the homework for this half term, I have attached a copy below, as well as reading, timestables rockstars and writing a diary (remember Samuel Pepys!)
I have put a list of free activities you could also do below, have a look and see if there's something you'd like to do.
I will be contacting each of you during this week so if you have any questions I can help.
If you would like to contact me sooner then you can email me on:

Spring Term Homework
Last half term we were learning about Animals, including humans in our Science sessions. As part of this we found out about healthy foods and eating a balanced diet.
I would like you to make a healthy meal at home, this could be a sandwich, a snack, breakfast or even dinner...whatever you would like.
You could then:
- take photos
- draw a picture
- write about what you created
- ask your family what they liked about your food
- create a poster to show what food groups were included in your meal
- explain why your food is healthy
During the week beginning Monday 30th March the children will have an opportunity to share what food they have created.
If you have made a tasty meal or treat at home you can email me pictures, presentations, word documents, whatever you have done and I'll share them with everyone on our school website.
Welcome to Elm Class!
We are Year 2 and our teachers are Mrs Pope and Mrs Bartram.
